NO KINGS! What a turnout!

We did it, Mandarin Indivisibles! Our No Kings Duval Day of Defiance—including the Wake Up! Protest at Beach and Hodges boulevards Saturday morning, organized by Indivisible Mandarin in partnership with Indivisible Jax Riverside (IJR) and Beaches Activists Movement (BAM) helped make history as part of the largest mass protest in American history. We joined

millions of other people in the U.S. and across the world to send the message that in America, our allegiance is to the Constitution and each other, not a wannabe orange king!

Our movement showed up in a powerful way, from the 2,500+ who protested in person at Beach and Hodges on June 14, to those who supported protestors with smiles, honks and waves as they drove by, to those who attended sign-making parties, spread the word on social media and worked behind the scenes to support these efforts. We couldn’t have done it without all of you!

In case you missed it, representatives from IM and our sister organizations were featured in pre-event coverage for the June 14 protests. In total, media coverage of the northeast Florida No Kings Day events—including both traditional print and television media as well as digital social channels like TikTok, Facebook and Instagram—reached hundreds of thousands of people across the globe.

Perhaps most importantly, our day of action was executed safely and nonviolently, with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office noting that no arrests were made during any of the peaceful protests in the area (although several individuals opposing the planned protests were charged for making threats of violence online).
